Mission Statement

The mission of the Mount Rainier Business Association (MRBA) is to support the vibrant business community of Mount Rainier.   We work to:

o   elevate the profile of Mount Rainier and its businesses through marketing efforts
o   increase patronage of the local businesses and enhance the customer experience
o   promote public health, welfare, and safety in Mount Rainier’s business districts

History of MRBA

Founded in late 1988 by a small group of business owners, The Mount Rainier Business Association has grown to encompass over 75 members. Designated a commercial district management authority, the association serves as the collective voice of local businesses and seeks to improve the overall economic health of Mount Rainier.

Known as The Gateway of the Prince George’s County Arts District, Mount Rainier’s intimate neighborhoods and diverse community allow the city to nurture and sustain a variety of interests.  Our businesses reflect that culture and diversity. Service providers, owners of boutiques and antique shops, arts entities, organic and vegan markets, and non-profit entities have proudly claimed Mount Rainier as their forever home.
